The Sedgefield Arms

The Sedgefield Arms is a luxury self-catering resort with cottages and apartments, a Guest House with non-smoking rooms and a mini conference room, restaurant and pub. The cottages are situated in well manicured gardens and there is a fenced-in swimming pool.

.Location

Sedgefield is situated in the heart of the Garden Route, nestling between pine covered hills, beautiful beaches and magnificent lakes. This picturesque town is a nature lover’s paradise offering the visitor rich and varied bird-life with over 250 listed species to be viewed along many hiking trails and boat trips. The town is situated 25 km from Knysna and the closest airport is George, 45 km away.

Accommodation

The 1, 2 or 3 bedroom self-catering cottages sleep 2, 4 and 6 people and are all self-contained and fully equipped with a stove or a microwave oven. Each has a private barbecue and patio with a garden table and chairs.

The apartments are non-smoking units situated above the Restaurant with basic self-catering facilities. They have a balcony overlooking the swimming pool.

The self-catering units are serviced daily and all linen and bath towels are provided. All units have colour television.

The Guest House has four double rooms with en suite bathrooms, three of which have balconies, and all are non-smoking rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided and there is a guest lounge area. TV is provided in all rooms which are also equipped with ceiling fans and heaters.

Facilities

The Sedgefield Arms Restaurant and Pub, situated in the grounds serves home-cooked food in a timbered restaurant with a roaring log fire in winter. The friendly intimate pub serves the "local brew" along with a wide variety of local wines. During hot summer days lunches can be enjoyed in the gardens or by the swimming pool.

The Guest House Conference Room is air-conditioned and can accommodate up to 20 delegates. It is equipped with an overhead projector and screen, white board, flip-chart, TV, VCR and hi-fi system.

A laundry service is available for guests and transfers to and from the airport can be arranged.
Off-street parking is provided for guests' cars.

Meals

Lunches and dinners can be taken in the Restaurant and breakfasts are available in the Guest House.

For conference delegates a complete package is available with light lunches, teas, coffees and dinners included. The Guest House has a large outdoor entertainment area with a built-in braai and pizza oven - ideal for conference delegates.
